  • Cotton LEADS℠ Presence at IDEA 2016 Tradeshow

    The IDEA 2016 tradeshow, held May 3 – 5 in Boston, is the largest nonwovens event of the year drawing a record crowd of more than 7000 attendees and 550 exhibitors from all over the world. Many Cotton LEADS℠ partners exhibited or attended the show. Cotton Incorporated, a Cotton LEADS℠ supporting organization, featured the natural benefits of cotton compared to competitive fibers in nonwovens.

  • Partner Conference Focuses on Holistic Efforts in the Cotton Supply Chain

    With the theme “Moving Toward Sustainability in the Supply Chain”, a Cotton LEADS℠ partner conference was held at Hotel ICON in Hong Kong on April 6. More than 125 international and local Cotton LEADS℠ partners and supporters across the global cotton supply chain attended the one-day special event, which focused on responsible cotton production, as esponsible textile manufacturing.

    Japan’s Cotton LEADS℠ partners recently attended a special engagement event in Tokyo to get an update on continual improvement practices in the U.S. and Australia, and engage with leaders from both industries.   • United States and Australia Join Up to Promote Cotton at Intertextile, Shanghai

    The cotton industries of Australia and the United States collaborated to promote the Cotton LEADS℠ program at the Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics trade show, October 13-15, 2015. The Intertextile show attracted over 4,500 exhibitors and 75,000 visitors from more than 30 countries, from all sectors of the textile supply chain – and many Cotton LEADS℠ Partners also exhibited during the show.

    HanesBrands, Jo-Ann Fabrics, Kohl’s® and Life is Good® Among Recent Signatories Since its establishment in 2013, the Cotton LEADS℠ program has attracted more than 300 partners from across the global supply chain. On Tuesday, May 12, a luncheon was held in Gastonia, N.C., to update the U.S.-based partners on program activities and to announce the latest additions to the Cotton LEADS℠ partner list.
