Cotton fiber represented by the Cotton LEADS℠ program, which promotes the responsible production practices of cotton growers in Australia and the United States, is deemed 100% biobased amid changes to the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) BioPreferred Program guidelines.

Companies signing on include: Target Corporation, AEON TopValu, Fountain Set, American & Efird, and Operadora LOB. The Cotton LEADS℠ program, launched in October of 2013, has attained more than 200 partners across the global cotton textile supply chain.

Cotton Australia, Cotton Incorporated, National Cotton Council and Cotton Council International announce a joint program to raise awareness of the responsible growing practices among cotton producers in Australia and the United States. Called Cotton LEADS℠, the program is aimed at textile brands, retailers and manufacturers committed to sourcing cotton that is grown in a responsible growing practices among cotton producers in Australia and the United States.
