2020 Beltwide Cotton Conference

Strengthening the U.S. Cotton’s competitive position in the world marketplace

The purpose of the Beltwide Cotton Conference is to enhance the profitability of U.S. Cotton by sharing new technology and their practical applications, and disseminating best practices to cotton professionals everywhere. Coordinated by the National Cotton Council and its cooperating partners, this annual forum is recognized as the global champion for cotton technology transfer.

During this three day conference, participants have the opportunity to get expert reports and attend panel discussions, hands-on workshops and seminars designed to provide the resources needed to drive the industry forward as a whole. Researchers from founding country organizations, the US and Australia, attend to share the latest research and best practices with researchers and change agents from countries around the globe.

The U.S. cotton industry identified six sustainability goals for the next ten years. Conferences like Beltwide that share research are one of the best ways to increase the implementation of new technologies to achieve those goals.

The conference schedule offers over 60 opportunities to learn and connect, and just a few conference highlights include:

  • Cotton Agronomy, Physiology & Soils Conference
  • Cotton Economic Outlook Symposium
  • Cotton Insect Research & Control Conference
  • Cotton Quality Measurements Conference
  • Cotton Engineering Systems Conference

In addition to the programming, participants get a unique opportunity to network with other cotton professionals, all across the supply chain. It creates a space where leading researchers, extension agents, consultants, scientists, processors and more from around the world can join forces to achieve the common goal of fostering overall cotton industry improvements, increase cotton sustainability and drive profitability.
