Australian Cotton Farm Tour 2019
June 6, 2019

For the fifth year in a row Cotton Australia hosted a group of Australian brands, retailers and not-for-profit organisations on a two day cotton farm and industry tour.

Held during the cotton harvest in April, this year saw a record number of participants visit the Macquarie Valley in NSW to learn about how their raw materials are grown, meet cotton farmers and researchers and experience the ginning process.

“The Camp Cotton Tour has become a very sought after event, with brands and retailers lining up to better understand Australian cotton, our on-farm sustainability and the research that underpins it all,” Cotton Australia’s Brooke Summers said.

“This is also a great opportunity to connect farmers with their ultimate customers in order to build greater understanding between the two extreme ends of the supply chain,” she said.
