2014 Crop Management Seminar
October 2, 2014

Cotton Incorporated will host the 2014 Crop Management Seminar (CMS) on November 11th & 12th in Tifton, GA. The objective for this biennial event is to facilitate the exchange of information between the research community and end-users, including county extension agents, crop consultants and other advisers who support cotton producers. They are a vital link in putting into practice the concepts developed through cotton research programs.

Each day of the Seminar begins with morning presentations on current hot topics in cotton production followed by afternoon breakout sessions where attendees can interact with subject matter experts in round table discussions aimed at improving their production practices. The Crop Management Seminar will include sessions on variety selection, insect management, weed management and precision agriculture. Topics tightly related to environmental sustainability concerns to be covered are: water management, precision nitrogen application, integrated pest management and soil health. Speakers and breakout sessions leaders will include university research scientists and extension agents as well as consultants and growers.
